Leading universities in Virginia have developed a distance learning program to make Master of Engineering degrees readily available to qualified engineers. At the center of the Commonwealth Graduate Enginering Program are the accredited graduate engineering programs at the University of Virginia.

This nationally ranked university offers regular online engineering master's courses to students in Virginia and beyond. Sudents take classes online in real time. Classes are scheduled in late afternoon and early evening hours.
